Notice the 1891 property tax ticket. This was when Memphis was not a city- notice State of Tenn at top- we were still a tax district after we had gone broke in 1879. Got our Charter back in '93. This house still stands on Leath St. in North Memphis. This 3 room bungelow was built for $500, and a 4th bedroom was added for $125 in 1898- I have the papers. &#13;
