The address at the top reads: "World Famous Collector's Originals, P.O. Box 17552, Memphis, TN. 38187." The stationary that the letter is written on is Gone With the Wind promotional stationary. The address is stamped on the stationary. The letter is referencing a tax document from 1891 and references that the property is located in North Memphis on Leath Street. Abe- Have fun with these. Notice the 1891 property tax ticket. This was when Memphis was not a city- notice State of Tenn at top- we were still a tax district after we had gone broke in 1879. Got our Charter back in '93. This house still stands on Leath St. in North Memphis. This 3 room bungelow was built for $500, and a 4th bedroom was added for $125 in 1898- I have the papers.
